Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez is the latest striker to be linked with a move to West Ham, with reports stating that the Magpies are ready to sell the gifted striker for £15 million.

The striker signed for Newcastle for £1.8 million in 2014, joining from Spanish side Tenerife, rejecting approaches from the likes of Real Madrid, Porto and Barcelona.

The 22-year-old forward has shown flashes of brilliance in his 70 appearances for the Magpies so far, scoring 13 goals for the Toon Army in the process.

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is understood to be keen on keeping his fellow countryman at St James’ Park as the Magpies look to make it an immediate return to the Premier League.

Despite this, Perez has attracted a lot of interest across Europe and could depart Newcastle if their £15 million valuation is met this summer.

The Irons have been connected with a host of strikers already as Slaven Bilic looks to attract a gifted striker to West Ham this summer. Perez’s versatility up front would be a real bonus for Bilic and there is certainly the potential for the Spaniard to get even better.

The rumoured £15 million price tag could put the Hammers off as they are exploring other options, including AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca who is said to be available for £19 million.
