West Ham United are struggling to find value for money in the transfer market due to a common knowledge that the club are looking to spend, according to David Sullivan’s son Jack.

The Hammers are embarking on a new chapter of the club’s illustrious history, with a move to the Olympic Stadium this summer set to take the Clarets to a new level.

To hit the ground running in 2016-17, Slaven Bilic wants a host of new players at his disposal before the campaign starts, with a new striker his number one priority.

So far the London club have seen offers for Alexandre Laazette, Michy Batshuayi and Bornemouth pair Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie rejected.

With a knowledge that West Ham have money to spend and are willing to part with it, other clubs are seemingly playing hardball in negotiations.

Sullivan junior has admitted this, but stated that the Hammers are still set to be active this summer.
