West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has stated that his side’s thrilling 3-2 win over Manchester United on Tuesday night was like a movie.

It was an emotional night for the Hammers faithful given that it was the club’s final home game at the Boleyn Ground before a move to the Olympic Stadium this summer.

Diafra Sakho opened the scoring for the hosts before an Anthony Martial double in the second half had West Ham up against it.

However, late strikes by Michail Antonio and Winston Reid ensured the night ended with a memorable Hammers win and a fitting end to life at Upton Park.

Bilic has stated that the game was a great send off for the stadium and admitted that it was thrilling to watch from the sidelines.

“It ticked all the boxes,” the Croat told BBC Sport.

“If you wanted to make a movie about this great stadium and about the last game then you would have all the boxes – a great opponent, late game, five goals, a thriller. All the boxes for a blockbuster.”

The result means that United’s hopes of finishing in the top four have been critically blunted, with Louis van Gaal’s side likely to finish outside of the Champions League places along with West Ham.
