West Ham United have slapped a €60 million (£48 million) price tag on Dimitri Payet’s head to ward off potential suitors, Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim.

The France international has had an amazing season with the Hammers following a summer move from Marseille, with the playmaker a key reason for Slaven Bilic’s men fighting for a top-four finish in 2015-16.

Payet’s amazing form has led to a call to the French national set-up after a three-year exodus, while the former Lille schemer has also been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.

With the London outfit entering a new era and set to move to the Olympic Stadium ahead of next season, holding onto the gifted attacker will be a priority for Bilic and the club.

The latest report suggests that such an astronomical price tag has been attached to the star to scare off clubs circling Payet and ensure he remains at West Ham next season.
