West Ham United are keeping a close eye on Levante midfielder Victor Camarasa, with The Daily Star claiming that the Hammers are ready to launch a bid for the 21-year-old this summer.

The London club are rumoured to be ready to cut links with loanee Alex Song, who could be sent back to Barcelona rather than be offered a permanent deal with Slaven Bilic’s men.

As such, a new defensive midfielder would be needed, with Camarasa one of the options.

He is under contract with the La Liga club until 2019 but his future could well be a point of contention if his current side are relegated.

Camarasa is reportedly valued at £9.5 million but could be available for as little as £3 million if Levante are demoted from the Spanish top tier.

Bilic has sent scouts to watched the Spain under-21 international and it is believed that West Ham are ready to pounce should the player become available.
