West Ham United are weighing up a summer move for Watford centre forward Odion Ighalo according to The Sun, with the Hammers in the market for a new hotshot striker ahead of next season.

Slaven Bilic’s men have had a progressive campaign and are expected to spend big in the summer ahead of a move to the Olympic Stadium before next term.

Ighalo has been a sensation for the Hornets in their first season back in the top tier, striking up an impressive strike pairing with Troy Deeney.

The Nigerian has netted 14 league goals so far and is being spoken of as a possible target for Arsenal in the press also.

Watford are expected to have difficulty in holding onto the African goal machine and a fee of £15 million is being touted as the figure that will see Ighalo leave Vicarage Road.

Should he arrive at West Ham it would cast doubts over the future of Andy Carroll at the club.
