West Ham are interested in a number of quality European strikers, with one rumoured to have already agreed a switch to West Ham, according to reports.

The Hammers’ interest in the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi has been confirmed by the Boleyn Insider on the club’s official website.

The report also stated that the Hammers were interested in bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Olympic Stadium but they have categorically stated that any move for the forward is set to be ruled out due to the striker’s excessive wage demands.

Lacazette has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal recently and it looks as if last season’s top scorer in Ligue 1 has his heart set on a move to the Premier League this summer:

‘Yes, I am thinking about it and the Premier League is very attractive for a player’ said the striker in January.

Michy Batshuayi is understood to be the club’s primary target and reports from ExWHUemployee suggest that Slaven Bilic is due to meet with Batshuayi in the near future. The same report also confirms that Tony Henry has met with Andre Lacazette in a bid to tempt the Frenchman to West Ham.

Another striker on West Ham’s radar is Valencia striker Toni Martinez. The Daily Mail reports that the Hammers are ready to sign the Spaniard in a £2.4 million deal and the striker is keen to tie up a deal. The Spanish side want to install a buy-back option in the deal as Martinez is a highly rated young prospect.

The 18-year-old has scored over 100 goals at youth level in the last four seasons and has attracted the interest of Slaven Bilic as a star player for the future.

Are the Hammers right in pursuing overseas talent?
