Despite United having more of the ball, they never really seemed dangerous unless Martial was in possession. Whenever we got the ball we looked far more capable of breaking the deadlock, and Emenike should have scored twice in the first half. We weren’t at our best by any means, but we caused enough problems and could have had a penalty. Payet was looking for contact, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a penalty. If the referee believed he had actually dived, he would of booked him for it.

West Ham have got to the point now where we are no longer afraid to call ourselves contenders. This showed in the United game. We knew that we were where we belong, causing problems at Old Trafford and never found ourselves beaten by the occasion. The team now feel they are where they belong and showed it with a fearless performance at Old Trafford. Even after the equaliser, we could of gone on to win it with a series of late corners causing problems.
