Dimitri Payet has won whufc.com’s official goal of the month award for his strike against Newcastle.
The French playmaker has been in impeccable form since he arrived from Marseille in the summer. No player has played more key passes in the league whilst Riyad Mahrez is the only midfielder to score more league goals than Payet so far.

Arguably, Payet’s performance against Newcastle was his best display in a Hammers shirt so far. Both of his goals were excellently executed, reflecting his composure under pressure and his clinical finishing.
The 28-year-old has also produced excellent displays against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool. Bilic himself stated that he was desperate to sign the midfielder and it is clear to see why, his commitment and skill on the pitch is a sight to behold for West Ham fans and it will be exciting to see what he produces next.
