Barton on his way…

Soccer star in court

West Ham are set to sign former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton after reports suggest that the 32-year-old could be close to joining Slaven Bilic’s side.

The midfielder left Loftus Road this summer after they were relegated from the Premier League and West Ham look to have won the race for the former QPR captain. BBC Sport suggests that the deal could be completed within 48 hours as the Hammers look to add further cover in central midfield.

Barton is a controversial figure but would add solid Premier League experience to the squad.
