Charlie Austin
Another name that seems to be at the top of everyone’s wish list is Queens Park Rangers front man Charlie Austin. He really proved himself in the league last season, bagging 18 goals in 35 appearances and boasting an impressive 67% shot accuracy.
If the Hammers invested a lot of money in Austin, many would expect the England international to hit the ground running. He is used to the English game and shares a similar goal-scorer’s instinct to former-hammer Dean Ashton. £15 million is a steep asking price for West Ham and it doesn’t look like the club are going to pay that much. However, a potential player-plus-cash deal could be on the cards and capturing a player of Austin’s quality would really separate West Ham from their rivals.
