Alexandre Pato
A name that has recently sprung to the attention of a number of Hammers’ fans is Brazil star Alexandre Pato. After what was, on the whole, an encouraging spell at AC Milan, injury problems eventually resulted in Pato returning to Brazil. He currently plays for Sao Paulo where he is looking to rebuild his career.
He has scored 22 goals in 50 league appearances in the past three seasons in Brazil. This is a good return considering Pato’s injury record and the fact that he is sometimes deployed in a wider position. It is Pato’s desire to play in the Premier League and West Ham could be the perfect destination for the 25-year-old.
The Hammers will need reassurances that Pato’s injury history is well behind him but there is no doubt that if he is given the opportunity, he will score goals.
