Sky report that Sheringham agrees terms with Stevenage

Sheringham-600x400Sky sources have suggested that Teddy Sheringham could well be on his way out of the club after he spoke with Stevenage today regarding their vacant managerial post for next season.

Sheringham has impressed for West Ham in his role as attacking coach this season with the likes of Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll performing well up front in various stages of the campaign.

The former Hammers striker told Sky Sports: “I’ve had a very enjoyable season at West Ham. Sam Allardyce has been absolutely fantastic – first of all inviting me and then giving me the experience to be involved with all the coaching staff and meetings.

“He has been very open with me and I have the utmost respect for him but after the year, which I have enjoyed, I am ready to move on now and hopefully get a job myself and hopefully there will be some news by the end of the week.”

If Sheringham does leave, it will be the 49-year-old’s first post in management.
