He has shown for Liverpool that he can play left back although he is primarily a right back, which is a position which needs strengthening as it is unlikely that Jenkinson will stay past the end of the season and Demel isn’t good enough in my eyes. Johnson is able to sign pre-contract agreements now, as his contract expires in the summer.
