The Great Comeback of February 2014
This was the first sign that West Ham had some fight in them, and came after a dismal run of results which had left West Ham sitting in the relegation zone with just 19 points to their name. It was looking bleak for the Hammers, but convincing victories against Swansea City, Aston Villa, Norwich City, and Southampton in February pulled the Hammers out of the relegation zone and gave them the motivation and points to survive. Sam Allardyce was rightly named manager of the month, and although we subsequently lost eight out of our eleven remaining league games, that brilliant run was enough to save our souls (on a side note, how awful was last season?)
