The growth of pre-contract agreements means clubs need to be alert and ready to ensure they recruit the best talent, even before it becomes available.
The practice already exists here in Australia, whereby Rugby League players can enter a season with one club despite having a pre-signed contract with a rival club for 12 months later.
West Ham already appear as though they may be on the receiving end of an unceremonious separation from at least on star, with many reports suggest Winston Reid is leaving himself free to sign with another team.
It means the club will need to be prudent in the acquisition of new players, not only to cover potential losses, but also further enhance the squad.
With a plethora of top-talent becoming available in 2015, here are five pre-contract signings West Ham should realistically look to make.

Nice speculation but like all these things I will put money on none of the aforementioned joining our club. Don’t stop speculating tho!
