Former striker returning and a surprising exit for West Ham

According to recent reports, the Hammers are among several clubs interested in bringing Demba Ba back to England in January. The Senegalese striker, who currently plies his trade with Besiktas in Turkey, is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, and without a doubt would improve the West Ham squad were he to join. However, Besiktas would be very unlikely to let Ba go on the cheap having paid £4.7million for his services last summer, and to pay big money for a 29-year-old in a position where (for once) we are not weak in, wouldn’t be worth it in my opinion.
