Sunday’s match saw a comfortable 2-0 victory for the Hammers over their struggling opponents from west London, Queens Park Rangers; the result saw West Ham climb the Premier League table to the dizzy heights of seventh, whilst Harry Redknapp’s QPR remained rooted to the bottom of the English football’s top tier.

Speaking post-match, Sam Allardyce heaped praise on Hammers goalscorer Sakho, who bagged his fifth goal in five West Ham starts:

“I would have seen Sakho as being a player, coming from the French second division, playing maybe 10 to 15 games for us and finding out about the Premier League.

“But he is so desperate to do well and his runs are so good at the opposition’s defences and he seems to have the knack – and that’s the hardest knack of all – of turning up in the right place at the right time.

“So that’s fantastic for him and absolutely outstanding business for us at West Ham.”

Here are five things we learnt about West Ham in the 90 minutes against Queens Park Rangers.

There is a sixth thing we learnt, if we didn’t already know it!

We have some serious scumbag “supporters” who think it is right to boo the club captain when he justifiably came on for Zarate (and nearly scored).

How can booing him be justified on any level???

These people may call themselves supporters, but they haven’t got a clue regarding the meaning of the word, I wouldn’t share a minute with these idiots let alone a drink after a game!

Agree with the Cat regarding Nolan. Embarrassed for all supporters when this happened. Like him or not he has always given his best for us and scored many important goals. His time at whu may be up, but he should not be disrespected like this. COYI
