Cheikhou Kouyate & Michy BatshuayiIncoming:

Cheikhou Kouyate & Michy Batshuayi:

Boss Sam Allardyce was spotted at Anderlecht’s game against Standard Liege, reportedly taking a look at the 24-year-old Senegalese defender and the 20-year-old Belgian striker.

Kouyate has repeatedly been liked with a move to North London and the Emirates for the past 18 months and the Hammers will therefore face tough competition for the versatile defender/midfielder’s signature, despite claims on social media sites that a deal to move to East London is already complete.

Kouyate has made 145 appearances for Anderlecht over six seasons and at just 24 years of age, would certainly be worth the £8m the Belgian side are looking for to part with their star man.

Similarly at just 20 years of age, Batshuayi looks an exciting prospect and potentially an investment for the future. The young striker reportedly has a £6.5million buy-out clause in his contract but like Kouyate, has been attracting the attention of numerous clubs such as the likes of PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham, and again, Arsenal.

With an impressive 37 goals in 90 appearances for Standard Liege, Batshuayi would certainly give us another attacking threat if he were to sign for the Hammers.

Outgoing:

Mohamed Diame – Liverpool & Everton:

I’m sure the majority will be aware of the Senegal international’s recent comments to the media regarding his ambition to move to a ‘top six English club’, whilst these Diame to Liverpool rumours have been ongoing for a lengthy amount of time.

Following a surprisingly unimpressive second season in East London which has seen vast numbers of fans become frustrated with the midfielder, Diame has been quoted claiming that he believes he is “still on Liverpool’s wanted list”; although it is not the red side of Merseyside that are turning his head this week.

Numerous news sources including The Mirror and Daily Mail are today reporting that a move to Everton and a reunion with former boss Roberto Martinez may be on the cards come the summer window, who see Diame as an ideal replacement for Gareth Barry whose seasons long loan from Manchester City will come to an end at the conclusion of this season.

In contrast to his first season for the Hammers, the usually powerful midfielder has had a somewhat underwhelming campaign this time around, has often look disinterested, and his mind has evidently been elsewhere.

Should Everton decide to activate Diame’s reported £3.5million release clause, I for one would not be too displeased to the Senegalese midfielder depart Upton Park as I feel we have seen the best of him in a West Ham shirt and personally, do not believe he is worth close to £4million.

Young with development potential and resale value, why would we when we can sign Thirty plus year olds. How about raiding the relegated clubs for their better players. I do here Lukaku is to be sold at Chelsea, now Carroll and Lukaku playing together would be an unplayable front two.
