Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that West Ham will look to sign Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini this summer.
The £6.5million summer signing from Juventus started brightly under Paolo Di Canio but since Gus Poyet has taken over the midfielder has slipped down the pecking order.
There is apparently going to be a change in West Ham’s transfer policy this summer – I think that is basically saying we won’t be targeting Titus Bramble again – and someone of the Italian’s ilk would certainly highlight this change in direction.
He is at the peak of his career at 28, he is forward thinking in his play and extremely versatile – Sunderland have played him in now fewer than six positions this season, ranging from left midfielder to right winger.
Would you be happy to see him arrive at Upton Park?
