Hammers reject chance to sign midfielder

Antonio NocerinoRight, who is going to have the awkward conversation with Antonio Nocerino and tell him that he won’t be back at Upton Park next season?

The Mirror are reporting that, despite Nocerino’s desire to stay: “I like it here and would love to play in the Premier League next season, hopefully at West Ham because they were the first team to knock on my door and trust me.” that Sam Allardyce won’t take up the permanent option on the AC Milan midfielder.

Nocerino will perhaps feel has hasn’t had the chance to show the Hammers faithful his ability having only made one start in the Premier League as well as six substitute appearances.

What are your thoughts on our on loan Italian? Are we missing a trick in not bringing him to the Boleyn on a permanent deal?

He did show something in his time at our club give him a chance and sign him for next season wat have we got to lose

Would prefer the signing of Diego Poyet or Robert Snodgrass.

  • Dan D says:

Would like to keep keep him here and give him a chance to show us what he’s all about. Would sell Jarvis and bring Adam Johnson in, would be a great signing for us.

Are you telling me the likes of Mat Taylor or even Kevin Nolan are better players. He has not been given a chance what was the point brining him here on loan if we were not going to use him.

  • Will says:

Be a shame if he goes, I know he isn’t what he used to be but he’s better than Taylor, collision and Nolan to start. Unless we’re planning on keeping Ravel and sacrificing a CM for an attacking midfielder next season then I think it’d be a waste To get rid of him

    He lookslike a talented player
but then Sam doesnt do a lot to give anyone wtth talent a chance to prove it.

  • Jack says:

Nocerino is by far our most accomplished central midfielder, anybody with remote knowledge of football outside the Prem should know this.
Absolute coup to get him on loan in the first place, its farcical he isn’t playing every minute for us. I understand the concept of not being able to drop anybody when we are winning, but Matt Taylor? Really? Although he’s been starting the games we’ve been winning as of late, I cant help but feel we’ve been carrying him

Once we have secured premier status give Nocerino a good run out in the remaining games, looks a decent player and far better than Taylor, Collison, and Jarvis by a mile. What have we got to lose. COYI

  • Bartlett1988 says:

How can anyone say he looks decent when every game hes played hes been anonymous.

All because hes from AC milan and not english doesnt make him any good. Next please….

PS Snodgrass and Johnson would be massive improvement.
