Six Hammers to be released

Sergio Aguero Manchester City Jussi JaaskelainenEight West Ham first-team players are out of contract in the summer but only two will be offered new deals, according to Claret and Hugh.

Joe Cole, Jussi Jaaskelainen, Danny Potts, Leo Chambers, Jack Collison and Abdul Razak are the six that will reportedly leave the club. George McCartney and Matthew Taylor will be offered lesser contracts with their role seen more as squad players.

Cole and Jussi leaving isn’t that much of a surprise, Collison heading for the Upton Park exit door will probably split opinion but I imagine there will be uproar at the youngsters leaving.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Sorry to say the young players are not good enough, and need to go. As we go into our new home we need to get top players I

How the hell can you say that the youngsters are not given the chance to prove them selves, under this manager if you are not getting on in years then that your lot.Its about time that the owners of this club wised up to this and got rid of the oldest non football manager this club has ever had.

      I agree 100%

the last 2 results we will be going into our new home in the championship!!!!!
    we are still not SAFE.
what was the point of getting RAZAK?
we are still playing crap, with 1 up front.
BFS bemoaning the defence, the week it was the forwards, or lack of!!!!
but it will NEVER EVER be his TACTICS will it??????????
next week man utd, another defeat manager of the month is a real hoodoo!!

Big sam is in my mind only ok as a manager he hasn’t got a plan B or a plan C the long ball might work against other teams but against quick sides it doesnt so either he has a plan B if plan A doesn’t work then bye bye , we need to keep Collison we definitely need another centre back quick midfielders and another keeper

    • A Hudson says:

I THIK YOUR MISSING THE POINT, THESE PLAYERS ARE NOT PREM PLAYERS, DOES NOT MANTER WHAT YOU THINK OF SAM

  • jonhammer says:

Does not matter if they are not prem players as we ha BC e a high chance of being g in the Championship, so should keep them

Have referees got a vandetta against West Ham,another blatent penalty not given handball. Last week Nolan was clearly being held back with 2 arms wrapped around him, more like a rugby tackle which stopped him running on to a lovely pass, which would have put him one on one with the keeper. It seems that these bizarre decisions have started after the Carroll joke ban, with Howard Webb. To be honest I am starting to feel paranoid.

  • teddybard says:

No pint in any youngsters staying Fat Sam would never risk
using anything except one of his former mistakes.
For the senior players sorry but no great surprise either.

  • Dan says:

For me Leo Chambers is our most promising prospect and if he isn’t offered a new contract then it will just be another nail in Allardyces coffin of my opinion of him

  • garry says:

Its time for sam to go as if he shows the fans no respect laughing on motd last night just shows that . Ravel morrison scored twice again yesterday what these young players need is a manager that will give them game time put a arm around them not a fucking fat useless one direction manager giveing mat taylor another year is a joke diara is shit nolan shit to many players to name

  • Steve says:

I agree these players should go but will they be replaced with more quality ,very doubtful !!
Also feel strongly that when they go they take Sam with them ,a good manager makes all the diff look at southampton for example , not a dinosaur as a manager like we have.

  • peteb says:

A shame big Sam is not a young players ideal manager, likes them older and knowing their job,Collison needs guidance and will make it better in a new team.good luck Jack, the rest goodbye and good luck.coyi

  • Tonka says:

Crazy. Any manager who can’t develop Danny Potts and Leo Chambers into decent Premiership players is a disgrace.

  • wolfie says:

Agree Tonka we should be looking to encourage & develop youngsters, are we not The Academy ?shame about Collison but, sadly, the bad injury he suffered has taken
    it’s toll

  • Alison says:

    Potts and chambers ????
Cole and jussi make sense but to get rid of 2 of our younger, talented players is bizzare , surely we are lookìng to develop our up and coming younger players not pass the work and effort already invested in them for someone to benefit
