Where will West Ham pick up their points?

West Ham players celebratingWest Ham have had a brilliant run lately, with three wins on the bounce and the chance to end February unbeaten. With this new momentum and positivity, I’ve had a look at how many points I realistically think we’re in with a chance of getting by the 11th of May.

Southampton (H) – I was at the away fixture for this, where it was a far from thrilling 0-0 draw. Southampton are a strong side, but I think we can get at least a draw again as they seem to have had a dip in form whilst ours is on the rise. 1 point.

Everton (A) – I’m not going to be that generous to us here. We lost 3-2 to Everton earlier in the season despite being in the lead twice during the game. They’re a quality team and I think they will prove this against us. 0 points.

Hull City (H) – This one I am confident we can win! After a bright start to the season, Hull have slipped down to the bottom half of the table, 3 points off the relegation zone. With the home crowd behind them, the Hammers can stop the Tigers from roaring. 3 points.

Stoke City (A) – Stoke are by no means a walk in the park, and are a very physical side (who should probably be playing rugby). They’ve recently lost to both Sunderland and Palace, but have beaten Manchester United so shouldn’t be written off. I’m going to go for a draw. 1 point.

Man Utd (H) – David Moyes’ men have been a bit of a disappointment this season, so far not even looking certain for a Europa League place. With us at home and their shaky form, I’m going for a draw. If Fulham can do it then we definitely can! 1 point.

Sunderland (A) – The Stadium of Light is an intimidating place to go,and the Black Cats have been doing pretty well at home recently. However, I think we should be strong enough to beat them. I’m going for a win, 3 points.

Liverpool (H) – Being realistic, I’m not expecting anything other than an away win when I look at this fixture. I hope the boys can prove me wrong, but I’m predicting a loss. 0 points.

Arsenal (A) –  Again, Arsenal will be looking to stay in the title race and finish their season on a high. I’m going for a home win, so 0 points for the Hammers.

Crystal Palace (H) – I’m definitely confident we can see off Palace and help them back to the Championship. I’m going with 3 points.

West Bromwich Albion (A) – The Baggies can be tough opponents and are dangerously hovering around the relegation zone. I think they’ll have fight about them and the game will be tough. Going for a draw, 1 point.

Tottenham Hotspur (H) – Hmm. This is a tricky one! My heart is saying win (and I guess recent history is telling me that too…) but I’m not sure Spurs will roll over and let us beat them again! They’ve been flying high in the table now and I think I’m going to have to go for a fought out point.

Manchester City (A) – The last game of the season. We will, by now, be safe with the result of the match not having too much bearing. City on the other hand may be chasing the title, and I would expect their ‘superstars’ to win this comfortably. 0 points.

So that would leave West Ham with 42 points, 2 above that magical ‘safe’ number. Obviously this is just my opinion, and I wouldn’t advise placing any bets based on my predictions! Where do you think we will end up come May? Leave a comment or tweet me at @alwaysintune.
