Roger JohnsonWest Ham United have completed the surprise signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ defender Roger Johnson.

Sam Allardyce has moved to complete the loan signing of Johnson following injuries to Winston Reid, James Collins and James Tomkins.

Johnson, who has not played in the Premier League since March 2012, is expected to be named in the Hammers’ squad for Wednesday’s Capital One Cup first-leg semi final against Manchester City.

Allardyce is still interested in City’s Joleon Lescott but moved for the 30-year-old, who had been on loan with Sheffield Wednesday, to help to restore his depleted squad.

I don’t believe it a player that is not playing for his parent club has a drinking problem and cause havoc in the dressing room is this the best we can do? Are we now as fans to be satisfied that this is great news for our club a journeymen from league two playing for Sheffield Wednesday that are struggling please tell me that this is a all a joke.

Sounds about right, scraping the very bottom of the barrel for players willing to come to us. It does nothing to restore confidence in the club, but at least we have a fit centre half to play on Wednesday. Not expecting anything to change, result wise on Wednesday though, another depressing day Thursday.
