Antonio NocerinoFinally, some excitement for West Ham fans, as the club announced the two loan signings of AC Milan’s Antonio Nocerino and Marco Borriello of Roma.

Nocerino is the signing I’m most intrigued by, as I remember him impressing in the Champions League a couple of campaigns ago.

Obviously, YouTube isn’t the best indication of a player’s talent – it makes Freddie Sears seem like a future Ballon d’Or winner – but this compilation of the Italian midfielder makes impressive viewing.

Bit non pluses about our two Italian signings if I’m honest! Will have to see them in action and what they can bring to the team before I can pass judgement! As for our calton, not sure what all the fuss is about! He was rightly let go in the summer because he was never going to be that ruthless 20 goal a season man Who bullied and terrified defenders in equal amounts! He will never be a natural finisher and for his size and talent should have delivered more! However, as it turned out it was equally right to bring him back as he has surprised many fans(including myself) with his displays and goals! But even so I can’t help thinking his enduring popularity has more to do with him being a likeable stupid soft lump than any outstanding goal scoring abilities?! Because the bottom line is if we are to have a team that is ever worthy of our new home then we will need a better class of striker! Whether cole can Step up and be that man remains to be seen!
