Midfielder eyeing West Ham exit due to broken promises

|

Nicky Maynard, Alou DiarraHe’s at it again! West Ham midfielder Alou Diarra is running his mouth off to the media.

Speaking to L’Equipe, the France international said: “When I talk with other Frenchmen, I would have loved to experience the same as them – but there is a whole world between us. The great excitement of the Premier League – I am not experiencing it at all.

“Since the very first day people wanted me to accept that I am second choice. I’m in a dead end.

“It was a bad career choice and I need a real challenge.

“A January departure? Yes it is very likely. To France? I’ve explored it all.”

Diarra added: “The fact I was back from broken knee ligaments after six weeks without having surgery? Some people could hardly believe it.

“Anyway my situation has not changed. I am not fooled. I quickly understood he (Sam Allardyce) didn’t rely on me, as I am again confined to the bench.”

Won’t Miss him a lot don’t know he’s on the pitch some weeks.
But unless I misread his comments when he arrived he promised to do well and give a lot of effort, not much sign of that so far.

I’ve no great time for Diarra, he’s never been fully fit the whole time he’s been at the club so it’s hard to say whether he would have been a first choice player.

It must be said that a pattern is beginning to emerge of players saying they were lied to by Allardyce and let down by him – we’ve heard the same from Chamakh, Petric and Diarra now. It’s exactly the sort of thing which discourages other players from joining (as we are discovering)

Chamakh couldn’t hit a barn door for us but has scored a couple of times for Palace. That’s the way it goes sometimes. Petric couldn’t hit a barn door whosoever he plays for. I’ve seen Diarra fall over a few times but that’s about it. If they want to go then let them. If anything it’s probably players of s**t quality at the Club who are putting others off from joining.

I don’t disagree with anything you say, and I don’t rate any of those players either. I still think it’s a bad idea to get a reputation for making false promises though.
