The latest West Ham rumour doing the rounds involves Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner.
The 24-year-old is right down the Old Trafford pecking order and has started just one Premier League game, this season.
Buttner, who has represented the Netherlands at Under-19 and Under-20 level, is reportedly keen to leave on loan this window, with Tottenham Hotspur and Galatasaray also being linked with the left-back.
Following injuries to Winston Reid, James Tomkins and James Collins, signing a defender has become a priority for Sam Allardyce – as well as bringing in a striker or two – and yesterday Big Sam also confirmed his interest in Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott.
