Leo BaptistaoWest Ham – according to talkSPORT – have been given a boost in their pursuit of a striker, after Leo Bapitstao was told he could leave Atletico Madrid on loan.

Despite only making one league start under manager Diego Simeone, the 21-year-old is highly rated and already has offers from La Liga sides Malaga, Real Betis, Almeria, Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano.

West Ham have found goals hard to come by this season and Baptistao – who scored seven goals for Rayo Vallecano last season – would provide a welcome boost for the Irons in their fight against relegation.

This latest news comes after West Ham reportedly bid £8 million for Southampton striker Rickie Lambert.

makes me think they are not relying on AC fitness this season!

Big Sam has already stated two signings, so I would not get to exited. It doesn’t matter anyway as we could have eleven strikers in the squad, Sam will only play one.

Big Sam needs to hit the road and Nolan needs his contract terminated ASAP. Same old west ham we score n then lose two goals, Sam better be writing a new CV championship here we come

It’s beyond a joke now, why oh why is Sam still in charge? Fulham had 30 shots and 68% possession, and their crap. If it costs 8 mill to get rid of him so be it, it’s only money he would waste in transfer market. The teams around us are dominating and turning us over with ease. We are getting relegated. We bounced back up last time but I really don’t think we will do it again. As much as it pains me to say it. I had high hopes for this season and have backed Sam all the way, but summat has to change. Roeder should of went in December so should of Grant and so should of Sam. Different year same poor football.

Sams time is up. Act now whilst there is still a glimmer of hope. Cant see many players jumping at the chance to sign with him still in the hot seat. I almost dont care who takes over I have just had enough of his negative tactics. We have a decent squad, a lot of injuries but decent, they just are not allowed to express themselves. We are getting nowhere with a negative set up so lets go for it, if we go downlets go down fighting. Signings wise I cant see Lambert coming but really like him as a player, another striker too wiuld be good and I also think a proper defender could help, Heitinga – dont know, perhaps pay up and bid for Lescott, he will want to play in a world cup year.
