Asamoah GyanSky Sports infamous sources have now taken the form of Asamoah Gyan’s representatives.

They’re reporting that West Ham are interested in bringing the current Al Ain striker in on a six-month loan deal.

The former Sunderland forward has a respectable – if not outstanding – club curriculum vitae having represented Udinese, Modena and Rennes before the Premier League club.

Despite having an impressive start, Gyan left Sunderland in acrimonious circumstances and has only found the net 10 times in 34 appearances for the United Arab Emirates club.

We all know we are desperate for strikers – anyone know if Neil Mellor is still a free agent? – But is Gyan the right man for the club? What do you reckon?
