Time for West Ham to build some momentum

Kevin Nolan Andy CarrollAny West Ham fan would have bitten your hand off for a total of three points from games against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, but now its time to take on the teams around us!

Swansea City (away), Aston Villa (home) and Norwich City (away) are the next three fixtures for the Hammers, who will want to push on up the table after a very mixed start.

First up is a trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Michael Laudrup’s side. Sam Allardyce will want to make up for last years embarrassing 3-0 defeat against the in-from Swans.

Obviously we can go to Wales and pick up a win but its not going to be easy, we can’t afford to give their talented players time and space on the ball because we will get punished. I would take a point now and I think that would be a great result.

Aston Villa at the Boleyn offers up a big chance to collect maximum points, a Kevin Nolan goal settled the game in this fixture last season and something similar could be on the cards.

These are the type of games we should be winning and I wouldn’t take anything but a win, that being said Winston Reid and James Tomkins have a big job on their hands to keep Christian Benteke quiet.

After Villa a trip to Carrow Road to take on Chris Houghton’s Norwich side looks like a winnable game, only one points separates the two sides as it stands and both clubs will look at this game for the three points.

This fixture last season ended in a boring 0-0 draw with very few chances, I can honestly see that happening again. Can we nick it? Of course we can. Would I take a point now? Yes!

We have a good chance to pick up some points and momentum from the next run of games. However, taking into consideration two of the three games are away from home I would be satisfied with five points, which would mean being unbeaten during that time. I would love to see us win all three but if you offered me five points from the three fixtures I would take it and run!

I’d take 9 points thanks . I’ve had the early slump, now time to push it up a notch. A hungry team who know they have some players more than capable. Yes, I’d be happy with a rise in form.
