Who’s The Defender Catching Big Sam’s Attention?

After being assigned the task of researching and writing an article on a player of whom I have never heard about I was rather worried. However supposed West Ham target Ludovic Sané must be a good player or else why would Sam Allardyce be interested?

Are you on Facebook? Excellent, so are we http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

During Big Sam’s reign as West Ham boss he has brought in some very good players who have cost the club very little and hopefully Sané continues the pattern as the holding midfielder is touted for a move to Upton Park. The 6ft 3in Bordeaux star can also play in defence which would offer the Hammers a versatile option in case of potential injuries.

The 26 year old currently wears the No.6 and hopefully this holds some significance, although the number has been retired now. Unfortunately for Hammers fans, and Bobby Moore himself, the last player to wear the legendary number was former captain Matthew Upson who showed little enthusiasm in his West Ham days.

Ludovic SaneHaving not heard much of Sané it is very hard to say what sort of player we could be bringing in but rest assured, Sam Allardyce knows what he is doing; after all he did sign Jussi Jaaskelainen who proved most, if not all, people wrong!

Sané’s contract is soon to run out at Bordeaux and hopefully with such a short time left will allow West Ham to capture the versatile Frenchman on a cheap deal paving the way for bigger summed deals to take place.

For the time being, West Ham fans will have to rely on Allardyce&Co’s knowledge of the game, hoping that Sané becomes a West Ham great and not another Savio Nsereko.

    Another Nsereko???
Surely you could find a better comparison that that???
    Maybe ‘another Alou Diarra’…
Seeing as he is French, 6’3″, defensive midfielder who played in Bordeaux….. and hasn’t covered himself in glory since BFSam brought him in… oh, but that kind of throws out your comment about ‘Sam has brought in some very good players’
    In fact, it’s just crap…..

Its a name that keeps coming up, so maybe there is some truth in the rumours ? It would be good to have a big fella in midfield. Maybe he could be the new Viera ??? Could we be that lucky ?
Incidently, I do like the photo above. The appropriately named Sane “looking down on” the (insane) ex-Hammer Julian Faubert.

Is Diarra coming back to Upton Park didn’t he go out on loan, is he going to be given another chance.

I like the sound of music coming out of upton park at the moment we are about to get a goalkeeper to push jussi .Carroll deal to be complete this week and if we could add sane and lukaku we would defently be looking at European football

  • Tony Hammer says:

We already have a player like that – who can play as a holding midfielder/central defender – in Alou Diarra, but Allardyce decided that a player who played every minute for France in Euro 2012 didn’t deserve a chance. Preferring to rely on players like O’Neil and Noble. What makes anyone think he won’t treat this player in exactly the same way?

    • TK says:

Diarra spent the first half of the season being injured and the second half bitching and moaning that he should have gotten into the squad straight after he got back from injury. No player is guaranteed a spot. You have to earn it

  • Garry says:

It was diara that wanted to move because he wasn’t good enough diame proved to be a better player we need him to sign a new deal or go

  • Macca says:

I told you big Sam, go for Jordan roades, 7 mill, and andy Carroll, or hooper from Celtic, or jossi on a free from Chelsea, and Lusaka from Chelsea on loan. Bring theses players in big Sam, Macca westham.
