Several Heading For Upton Park Exit Door

|

Modibo MaigaWith apparent interest this winter for Mohamed Diame from several Premier League clubs it will be interesting to see whether the speculation continues in the next transfer window. However Diame won’t be the only potential exit from Upton Park.

For the first time in ages, it’s been pleasant to see who we’ve been looking to bring in instead of who we would constantly be selling. But with the likes of Winston Reid and Mo Diame improving every game will West Ham fans be dreading the summer transfer window once again.

You have the usual players who don’t get played that will be released at the end of the season, like the releases of Abdoulaye Faye and Papa Bouba Diop. However I can’t see anyone in the first team squad being released as they are either too young or players that may fall in that category like Gary O’Neil have been played this year and have done a decent job.

Then we have the players that will be sold. This year though I am not as worried as the co-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold seem to know what they are doing and listen to what the fans want.

The rumours of Alan Pardew wanting James Tomkins and if Mark Noble will be leaving I’m sure will be as rife as ever but I can’t see any dramatic changes out of the squad this year.

The only small shock if we were to sell any one would be the selling of Mo Diame and let’s face it, that’s not really a surprise, is it. The horrible thing is, if QPR do stay up, I can see him being tempted by them with their huge wages as I don’t think Arsenal were ever really interested and it was just agent talk.

Summer signing Alou Diarra will also leave at the end of the season, which for me personally is a shame. Yes, his words about Sam Allardyce didn’t help anyone but the games he played I thought he did a great job. His lack of interest in staying at the club will bring in interest from Spain or Italy and I can’t see Big Sam wanting to keep someone who could disrupt a team with good morale.

These are two players that I feel won’t be at the club next year for certain but with rumours and panic buys late in the transfer window, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the likes of Modibo Maiga and even Carlton Cole, who has a lot of interest, leave the Boleyn gates.

Of course though, players going out the door will also be affected on players bought into the club so I could be completely wrong. My Maiga opinion only being if we signed another striker and hopefully a proven goal scorer!

Why will Noble leave and if Diame wants go let him we don’t need anyone at the club who doesn’t want to be there I have had enough of Mercenaries

      Hi Anne,
I don’t think Noble will be leaving at all, I was just stating that the last few transfer windows, rumours of him and tomkins have appeared moving to the likes of Fulham and Newcastle and I’m sure they’ll continue, not that they’ll be sold. Sorry for the confusion
      Thanks
      Jack

A lot will depend on who our manager is! If Sam goes I expect a mass clear out by his replacement!

    hope sam goes

be gutted to see carlton go, he works hard for the team .

i work hard every day in my job and put in more effort than most and would do in any job, so if i was to play for west ham i would be very hard working first one at training last to leave, that fact aside, it doesnt mean that i am good enough for that role and should be kept on sympathy if i was hard working but didnt do my job as well as others can do i would be sacked or moved on, exactly what should be done to CC he just about managed in championship last season, maybe it is down to BFS as you need a proven goalscorer if you play lone striker, and not a target man. all supporters are saying that andy carroll should not be signed because he hasnt scored, why should things be different for CC.

Noble will here till he retires ,love him or hate him ( i love him ) he gives his all every second of every minute of every game. The only way he would go is if he had a massive bust up with management or owners with both sam and DGDS fond of him aswell as the fans that is unlikely to happen

Sibbo – Hope Sam Goes – any constructive thoughts on who we bring in? What system we play? Or just a BFS hater…. Numpty

  • Nathan says:

Bfs is welcome to stay just change the away days tactics

  • Bonzo says:

We need a complete change around IMO,out Bfs and I would love Martin Jol as the new man and let’s get playing football and target both cups.

  • Jack says:

Bonzo don’t bother commenting you are clearly an idiot

  • Hoops says:

BFS out! Like its been said if he’s in charge when we move to Olympic stadium we have no chance of filling 60,000 seats playing punt up front football. He’s replacement a manager who everyone has stopped mentioning for a while now. Slavan Billic COYI!

    • Northern Hammer says:

Hoops….. have you been to a home game this season?
      Don’t need to answer… I can tell….

      Jack…well said…

Nathan… You do have a point, we have been far to negative in quite a few away days… goes for the draw and is happy to defend a lead or a 0:0

      • Hoops says:

Fair point at home its not been as bad and if its safety we want then keep him but he is one dimentional. I admit only been to 3 home games but have been to 7 away and it’s horrendous to watch us hoof it up to the lone striker. Plus if we sign anymore ex Bolton players we will be around the bottom of the table every season.
