West Ham manager Sam Allardyce was furious the Hammers weren’t awarded a penalty last night as the Irons went out of the FA Cup against Manchester United.

Allardyce told ITV:  “There’s no doubt about the difference between Rafael’s handball and Jordan Spence’s.”

“Spence plays for West Ham and the away team, while Rafael plays for the home side at Old Trafford.”

“It’s got to be that simple. Phil Dowd was in the perfect position. Rafael pushes the ball away with his left arm. No penalty. Go to the other end and the ball hits Jordan’s hand. If you give one you have to give both, simple as that.”

It was a clear handball and us Hammers have a right to feel aggrieved but overall it was a proud night to be a West Ham fan. The lads put in a great performance with Danny Potts and Jordan Spence particularly impressing.

What were your thoughts on the game? Who was your MOTM?

Well my man of the match certainly wasn’t Giggs as that butch of biased muppets in the commentary box thought. Dan Potts was great.
We are all talking about the penalty decisions but it wasn’t only that but when they replay the goal and say he is onside I am sorry but I still can’t see that. The line across the pitch they use is pointless as it is not in line but also even taking that into account it is any part of the body that is forward of the last man and not just his boots and clearly the guys head and chest are the furthest thing. On top of that Nolan gets booked for arguing which according to the letter of the law is a booking, fine, take that on the chin, but stone me not 10 minutes later 2 Man Utd players run to the Linesman barracking him far more than Nolan did. Allardyce will be in trouble for what he said but it is so true and not just sour grapes or just against us it happens week in and week out. And dont get me started on that chewing gum sucking idiot saying we were too physical up top and their centre backs had to deal with it all game. We had no forwards!!! Cole was not intimidating or physical. Just roll out the old Allardyce cliche’s and people believe it. I feel so proud to be a West Ham supporter today but by the same token feel so totally and utterly annoyed. I would love to watch that game with an FA official and point out all the 50 / 50 decisions that went their way and ask the question, WHY?

Clarifying slightly my comment above about being off side it isn’t the linesman to blame as it was incredibly tight. What I am saying is the insistence of the commentators that it was onside.
