RUMOUR MILL: Swede Dreams

West Ham’s transfer spotlight is now shining bright on left back Martin Olsson from Blackburn Rovers. There is interest from clubs all over Europe but he is a player that Sam Allardyce knows well from his time at Ewood Park.

Ever dreamt about getting paid for reading about West Ham? Well now you can make dreams a reality http://bit.ly/ffc-foreverwestham-lp

Olsson handed in a transfer request in the summer at Blackburn and his agent stated at the time that he would refuse to play in the Championship and would cost West Ham around the £2-3 million mark. With Blackburn’s current position this is a pinch of what he would have gone for during Blackburn’s time in the Premier League.

He has made the left back role his own at Blackburn accumulating a total of 129 appearances so far and notching 5 goals. Olsson has also made the left back role for a strong Swedish team his own by making 14 appearances and scoring 4 goals at the young age of 24 years.

Personally I feel Martin Olsson would make an excellent addition to Sam Allardyce’s squad. A pacey full back that can link up well with the attacking wingers is something that West Ham has lacked with George McCartney injured and lacking Premiership quality, and with Joey O’Brien proving excellent cover for both full back positions. Keeping them on there toes adds excellent competition for places. Not forgetting the excellent performance that Danny Potts put in against Manchester United would also keep Olsson on his toes if he was to join. I just feel that Martin Olsson is an exciting player that can offer an awful lot to a West Ham defence that has already came on leaps and bounds under Sam Allardyce’s reign and he is a player that he has worked with and knows well.

Should this signing happen I feel that West Ham are finally going in the right direction and the West Ham fans are getting what they want which is an exciting team that can move and progress up the Premier League. Sam Allardyce is building a solid squad which as I said is looking exciting and a team that can grow.

Personally don’t think you will get him. He has been on record twice to say he is committed at Blackburn. Second reason he is overrated at LB. he has played there fir a few seasons and the tbh he doesn’t know how to defend. Personally think he is better at lw which he really is very exciting
    Thanks amir
