West Ham target the Montpellier defender

Before Henri Bedimo was linked I, probably like many other Hammers, had never heard of Bedimo, but after papers such as the Daily Mail have been reporting for us to be interested in him and that we have had a “£1.75 million bid rejected” and a possibility of us pursuing his services further I thought that I better take a look at him.

Forever West Ham is now on Google+, so be sure to find us on there by quite simply (and rather unsurprisingly) searching ‘Forever West Ham’

He is a Cameroonian international, currently playing at plays at left back for Montpellier, he is 5 foot 11 inches and 28 years of age; he was involved in the Montpellier team which won the Ligue 1 title and since joining La Paillade he has made 42 appearances and scored 1 goal and he has made 23 appearances for Cameroon since his debut in 2009.

He is a pacey and strong player, who would maybe be able to add to a defence which lacks a bit of pace on the left side and he can out in some very good tackles. He isn’t afraid to use his pace to his advantage as he likes to tear down the wing and from some of the matches I have watched in order to find out about him, I have seen him go past the opposing right backs and put some very good crosses into the box and I feel that a player like him would help to bring the best out of Matt Jarvis and Matt Taylor due to his attacking ability.

I would say that if we could get him for around 2.5 million then he could be a great buy for the Hammers, as he would be able to provide for the attackers while also helping out the defence and adding some much needed pace to the side.

Allardyce doesn’t have anymore cash to play around with. I reckon they were stretched with the 1.75million bid in my opinion. Hence why he is looking for loan deals, the only time I can see us going in with a bigger deal is if Diarra leaves or Carlton/Maiga leaves.
