Plans for Sam

|

So contract negotiations between the club and Sam Allardyce won’t commence until the end of the season…I think it’s a bit of a risk but ultimately surely its right that we assess the state of play at the end of the campaign before we decide which direction to go in.

Sam is doing a fine job at this moment in time as we sit 7th with only 1 defeat from our opening 6 games. His summer acquisitions have fitted perfectly within his 4-3-3 system and at the moment it’s hard to see West Ham finishing in the bottom three.

My slight worry about waiting till Sam’s contract expires before we offer him a new one is that he’s doing such a sterling job that perhaps another club could come in and seize his services…for some bizarre reason it still seems some fans still have an issue with Allardyce; these are reasons that I cannot possibly fathom let alone comprehend and I do hope this minority don’t drive out the best manager this club has had since Alan Pardew.

I’m going stick my neck on the block and decree that this West Ham team won’t go down which will mean Sam gets a bumper new deal and with that continuity and stability Sam can continue to progress the club.

I look at a club like Everton; David Moyes has been there for 10 years now and whilst he may not have won anything during that time; Everton are always in the upper echelons of the Premier League and he’s progressed the style of football to the point they’re one of the best teams in the league to watch.

Given all drama that West Ham United have been through both on and off the pitch in recent years I think we’d all happily take a bit of stability.

until Sam took over at west ham as manager, they played as if they couldn’t care less but now they play with pride which I love to see.
the last time they last in this way was when Alan Pardew was in charge.
The quicker that Sam is offered a new contract the better. He is worth every penny.
West Ham I have supported you for over 40 years and i have never been prouder
