Noble Mark for England?

|

Mark Noble’s man of the match display against Southampton last week posed further questions as to whether he will be called up to the England squad before the season is out.

A string of great performances culminating in his impressive performance and brace against Nigel Adkins’ team has led many supporters to call for Roy Hodgson to include him in his next squad.

Our number 16 was tipped for call up to the senior squad last week but it looks as though he has been overtaken by the likes of Tom Cleverley and Adam Lallana this season, both of whom have featured in previous England squads.

Noble has been quite rightly been earning the plaudits following our promotion to the Premiership. His role has changed slightly following the introduction of Momo Diame but if anything this suited the Canning Town born midfielder. His passing play has been a major part in our great start to the season.

It must also be noted that whilst Lallana is in his debut Premiership season Noble has played nearly 200 league matches for us since the 2007-08 and has progress through the international ranks from under 16 levels to the captaining the under 21 side in the 2009 European Championships.

With Noble now adding goals to his impressive tackling and passing stats this season surely he will due a call up soon especially with friendlies against Sweden and Brazil coming up. This could be Noble’s opportunity to show his quality on the international stage.

But for me as long as Noble continues his great performances for us this that is the most important aspect but I’m sure the opportunity to play on the international stage presents itself then he will seize the opportunity. As longs as he keeps out of the way of Shaun Wright-Philips’ tackles!

But what do you think? Will Noble ever get his chance to the play for England? Will he get to relive his partnership with Scott Parker or will Gerrard and Lampard keep him out of the team forever? Let us know.

Take your claret & blue specs off people. Noble is not good enough to play at the top level of international football. He is often ponderous in possession, tries “Hollywood” passes that he cannot execute. He has little pace too. Not saying he is not a decent player. He is. But picture him in a midfield up against the best in the World – or even in Europe – and he just doesn’t fit in I afraid

well said!! we love him because he is all west ham….. but he is not good enough… no creativity and cannot run with the ball

What the hell are you two talking about? It’s supporters like you who never get behind the team when were struggling, go and support the Spuds or some other fake team like Chelsea and their ‘loyal’ supporters.

As for Noble, hes been in good form and does a hell of a lot of work off the ball (stats don’t lie) and something England could do with since Gerrard and Lump of lard will both be 35+ in the next World Cup in Brazil, time to move on and give someone like Noble a chance and experience. Don’t mock the lad until he’s proven otherwise.

He’s also just signed a new contract with us so good on the lad, I hope he gets his first cap soon.
