Shame he didn’t get another chance

|

Pablo Barrera looks set to depart from West Ham, with the club having given him permission to talk to other teams in the transfer window.

West Ham used their official Twitter site to break the news, tweeting: ‘The club can confirm that Pablo Barrera has been given permission to talk to Mexican club Cruz Azul with regard to a possible transfer.’

I think it’s a shame that the player who joined the Hammers on a 4 year deal with such promise is leaving without playing under Sam Allardyce. I would have liked him to have at least started a few games this season to see what he can bring to the team, but I guess from Big Sam’s point of view, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

In his two seasons at West Ham, Barrera has made 13 appearances for the Irons and spent one season on loan. He didn’t set the world alight there either, managing just 14 appearances.

Looks like Allardyce is having a summer clear-out, having let Freddie Sears go from the club as well in recent days.

Do you think the club are right to get rid of Barrera now, or should Big Sam have given him another chance in claret and blue? Tweet me at @alwaysintune to let me know.

He is right to get rid of him we need to get rid of all the players who are not justifying their wages, we can’t afford to keep players who don’t play and still pay them big money

Yet another classic West Ham “exciting buy” who did nothing whatsoever !!! I just pray that the days of bringing players like him to the club are a thing of the past. Its absolutely pointless, and more to the point costly, bringing players from overseas if they cant or wont adjust to life in the Premiership. And Barrera slotted right into this category. How many millions in dead wages is that down the drain for no end product ???
