Top FIVE Cheeky Transfers West Ham should try

|

With only two days remaining until the January transfer window opens for business, the thoughts of what players West Ham could get are varying from league to league. The recent bout of injuries and suspensions has left us very narrow and has very much highlighted our need for squad depth, come January. There are obvious places where we need to strengthen, for example at the back. However no matter how many sensible transfers we look at there are those that although are unlikely have that air of possibility about them. I think Big Sam should consider some cheeky transfers in January and here are my top 5:

5 – Jonny Evans- The Manchester United centre back is a player with pure talent, the 23 year old is 4th choice centre back for United and most of his appearances come in the various cups. I also think it wouldn’t take an enormous amount of money to lure him away from Old Trafford to first team football. Evans would be a terrific transfer as he would help tighten the defence this season and would prove his worth in future seasons.

4;David Dunn- The Blackburn 32 year old midfielder is set for a departure from Ewood Park as he cannot negotiate a new contract with manager Steve Kean. Allardyce has previously worked with Dunn which could help lure him to Upton Park. Blackburn’s number 8 is a quality player and would have been an England regular but for injury’s but he has been a Blackburn regular for a long time and what makes it more exciting is that this transfer could really come off.

3;Georgios Samaras- The 6ft 4 Celtic number 9 can play both as a striker and a wide man. Although I know people will say this is unlikely which to be fair it is, I do think that Samaras would be a brilliant addition to the squad. Celtic bought him from Man City for a fee in the region of £3 million Samaras would not cost us a lot but bring us a lot of goals and ability.

2; Roman Pavlyuchenko- The first out of favour Tottenham player on my list, the 30 year old Russian striker would be a fantastic addition to the West Ham squad. With an ability to hold the up well and his good work rate Pavlyuchenko is an ideal target man and would fire the goals to get us out of the Championship. It is also said that Pavlyuchenko is looking for a way out of Tottenham so this could make is capture easier, especially as he has said he will stay in London or move back home.

1;Niko Kranjčar- The out of favour Tottenham midfielder would be the ideal replacement for Mark Noble if he is too leave in January. The 27 year old Spurs number 21 could be looking for a way back to regular football and even if Noble doesn’t go Kranjčar would walk into the West Ham side with his skill and ability to score goals.

Shocking….not one realistic other then dunn.

And dont see how it would be a coup at all…hes 32, injury prone and slower then mark noble. Says it all really.

    What a ridiculous article.

    Here’s a proper top 5 transfer targets

    5. Sergio Ramos (Can play either right back or centre)

    4. Georgio Chiellini (A cool head at the back)

    3. Xavi (More playmaking ability than mark Noble…just)

    2. Lionel Messi (Would sort of look right in the number 10 shirt)

    1. Carlos Tevez (Of course, who else?)
