Summer Targets Available NOW

|

West Ham’s summer transfer targets are both set to be available in the January transfer window, with hotshots Bobby Zamora and Nicky Maynard expected to be on Big Sam’s radar.

Nicky Maynard could be available for around half the amount West Ham bid in the summer following his latest contract snub which forced Bristol City to put him on the transfer list. City fear they may lose their most valuable asset for nothing unless they sell in the winter window.

The Hammers may face stiff competition from Leicester City and a host of Premier League clubs. However it is expected that Big Sam and Co-chairmen David Gold and Sullivan are to go all out to secure a goal scoring forward. Maynard has flair, skill and pace in abundance with a keen eye for a goal something the Hammers have been crying out for.

Another player who could be made available is former West Ham favourite Bobby Zamora, a player who fired the Irons’ out of the league we find ourselves in today. We’ll never forget Bobby’s finest hour in claret and blue during the play-off games, which led to him firing the Hammers back to the promise land at Cardiff against Preston in 2005.

Zamora could be made available after a fall out with Fulham boss Martin Jol and West Ham are now set to make a move for the England international to bring him back to Upton Park. Despite interest from other Premier League sides it is thought that Zamora would be interested in a move back to his boyhood club.

A story running in the Daily Mail yesterday suggests that Zamora could be on his way back. It is thought that Zamora is reluctant to leave London where his family is settled which could hint at a move back to the Boleyn. Zamora is rumoured to be available for around £8 million which would take a huge chunk out of West Ham’s budget, but it would prove to be a major boost to the Hammers promotion hopes.

So I guess all there is to say is watch this space. January could be a very intriguing window indeed and it is thought Big Sam wants to bring in players as soon as possible and with other players linked it could be a busy window.
