Top 5 Hammers – Please come home

|

Over the years players have come and gone, some we were glad to see the back of but there were some we wished hadn’t left our beloved Upton Park. Our writer Bill West gives his opinion on who he would love to see back in the claret and blue of West Ham. Scott Parker – Tenacious midfielder who gave his all for West Ham, especially in the past couple of seasons. If more players played like him, the Hammers wouldn’t have got relegated last year.

Rio Ferdinand – Played 127 games for the Hammers. Top defender who has never said a bad word about the club.

Joe Cole – Youth graduate, who burst onto the scene under Harry Redknapp, would be welcomed back with open arms.

Glen Johnson – Only played one full season with West Ham but was one of our better players in the 2002-2003 season, which ended in relegation.

Michael Carrick – Played over 100 games, top passer and always gave 100%
