Top FIVE Not Fit to wear the Hammers shirt

|

For all the Di Canio’s, Moore’s and Brooking’s the West Ham faithful have had to put up with their fair share of poor players, and our writer Dean Mears lists has worst.

5) Wayne Bridge

Perhaps a bit harsh, but Bridge arrived on loan last season and simply wasn’t fit having played just 2 games for Manchester City. His lack of fitness was exposed by the pace of Theo Walcott during Wayne’s debut game and he never made an impact at Upton Park.

4) Allen McKnight-mare (if any foreverwestham readers can find a picture of Mr Mcknight they will earn themselves a prize)

Possibly West Ham’s worst ever ‘keeper, many West Ham fans recall heading to Anfield on the final day of the season needing a win to stay up, only for Liverpool to score five past a hapless McKnight.

3) Christian Daily and Gary Breen

This defensive pairing was so bad they get to join forces again in this list, the pairing made sure West Ham would finish the season relegated.

2) Marco Boogers

The million pound bogey arrived from Sparta Rotterdam in 1995, and after coming on for his debut at Old Trafford Boogers was sent off for an attempted leg breaking challenging on Gary Neville. Boogers disappeared after this game but was later found hiding on a Dutch caravan park.

1) Frank Lampard

Well, because he’s Frank Lampard.
