Inter winger Jonathan Biabiany’s agent has revealed that his client rejected a chance to join Chelsea and wants a West Ham deal.

Biabiany appeared set to be joining Antonio Conte at Chelsea at the end of the January transfer window, with an apparent loan move agreed between the Blues and Inter.

His agent, Davide Bega, revealed to Calciomercato why his client rejected a move to Stamford Bridge.

“Yes, I can confirm [Chelsea wanted to sign Biabiany].

“Conte wanted him and personally talked to Jonathan to persuade him to move to Chelsea. Chelsea’s offer, however, was late.

“They called us on Sunday night and the transfer window was closing two days later. There was no time to finalise a deal.”

Biabiny’s agent also revealed that a move to Chelsea’s London neighbours West Ham was definitely a possibility.

The winger was linked with a move to London Stadium in the January transfer window and would undoubtedly be an asset to Slaven Bilic’s side.

Asked about whether his client would join the Hammers, Davide Bega replied: “Yes, he likes the Hammers.”
