Arguably the Croatian national team’s greatest ever manager, West Ham’s Slaven Bilic holds a considerable reputation among his compatriots.

Bilic was integral to the nurturing of world class Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric’s young career – but the 31-year-old is unlikely to depart the Bernabeu anytime soon.

There exists a wealth of talent in Croatia’s national pool and Slaven Bilic could do worse than to consider a few of his countrymen for roles at West Ham.

A number of Croat talents are currently plying their trade in some of Europe’s biggest clubs and many of them would improve a West Ham side looking to solidify a top eight reputation.

Under the wings of Bilic and his backroom team, Croatian players would be given the time and understanding needed to have a chance of succeeding at the top level.

With that in mind, here are three Croatian talents we think Slaven Bilic should be looking at to help improve the Hammers’ squad…
