West Ham’s season has certainly picked up in recent weeks, but that doesn’t disguise the fact that a number of players have dramatically underperformed this term.
The Hammers’ summer signings have especially disappointed in a season which many fans had hoped would see West Ham put pressure on the top six.
With form having noticeably improved since Dimitri Payet left for Marseille, Slaven Bilic may well be tempted to cast a number of peripheral players adrift to improve squad unity.
Sofiane Feghouli is reportedly up for sale this summer for an asking price of just £9 million, but Slaven Bilic could do much worse than to keep the Algerian for another season.
Feghouli should take inspiration from Pedro Obiang – who was often touted for sale before putting in a number of top quality performances to cement his place in the side and put him in contention for Hammer of the Year.
But for some Hammers the time has surely come for a mutually beneficial move away from the London Stadium.
