West Ham and Southampton are both looking at bidding for Borussia Monchengladbach right back Julian Korb, according to Kicker magazine.

The German publication report that both Premier League clubs have shown “great interest” in the 24 year old and that the Hammers specifically have been keeping a close eye on the German for a long time.

Korb has played close to 100 games for Gladbach since making his first team debut back in 2012. He has been a regular for the Bundesliga side in the past three seasons at full back, although this season he has been restricted to just seven league starts, and ten starts in all competitions.

The former Germany Under 21 international also has European competition experience after playing for Gladbach in the Champions League. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has been linked with a number of right backs during this transfer window with Ajax’s Joel Veltman, Stoke City’s Glen Johnson and Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson all reportedly been shortlisted by the club.
