West Ham have rejected a bid from Roma for winger Sofiane Feghouli, according to Sky Sport Italia. The TV station say that the Italian side have offered a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Roma manager Luciano Spalletti has recently confirmed his interest in signing the Algerian international. The Serie A side wanted to sign the 27 year old before he agreed to join the Hammers in the summer but they have now returned to make a second attempt to sign him.

The irony is that although Feghouli has spent most of the season on the sidelines, he has begun to figure in the first team in recent weeks, starting the club’s last two games against Manchester United and Manchester City.

Roma are believed to be undeterred by the player’s recent run in the first team, and are said to be keen to continue negotiations with West Ham despite the Hammers rejecting their first bid.
