The Mirror are reporting that Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is not convinced that a loan switch to Swansea City would be the best move for him in this transfer window. They say the 23 year old favours a move to West Ham instead.

The Belgian international is at the centre of a complex negotiation which could see Fernando Llorente switch from the Swans to Chelsea this month, with the Blues forward moving in the other direction on a temporary basis.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a big fan of Llorente after working with the Spaniard when he was coach at Juventus, and he seems to have also made up his mind up on Batshuayi after not starting the striker in a single league match this season.

West Ham offered £30million for the player in the summer before he joined the Blues from Marseille, and the Mirror report that the Hammers remain keen on signing the player on loan. Batshuayi’s second thoughts on leaving for Swansea may provide Slaven Bilic with the opportunity to snap up the striker he has been looking for.

After three failed bids for Brentford’s Scott Hogan, and an abortive attempt to sign Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, signing Batshuayi could be the next option for the Hammers. The Belgian star scored 23 goals in all competitions for Marseille last season and four goals for Chelsea so far this campaign
