Fiorentina’s sale of Nikola Kalinic to China could prove important in the departure of Simone Zaza from West Ham, according to tuttomercatoweb.com.

The Italian website say they have it on good authority that the Viola’s sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is a big fan of Zaza’s but the club are waiting to see if Kalinic agrees a switch to the Chinese Super League before making an approach for the Italian international.

Kalinic is believed to be flying out to China to discuss terms and his current side are quietly drawing up a list of potential replacements in the January transfer window.

Two West Ham players have been mentioned with Jonathan Calleri also being considered as well as Zaza. Valencia are said to be still tracking Zaza despite the departure of the club’s Italian manager Cesare Prandelli

Calciomercato.com report that the Spanish side have offered a deal for Zaza but the 25 year old is stalling on a move and keeping his options open as it is believed he would prefer a return to Serie A.
