West Ham are looking to make an improved bid for Toulouse forward Martin Braithwaite, according to Sky Sports. The French club turned down a £8.5million bid from the Hammers in December and are reportedly looking for £10million for the Danish international.

Braithwaite has had a good season in Ligue One with 7 goals in 17 games but he has not been a prolific goalscorer in general during his time in France.

The Hammers were keen on signing Scott Hogan from Brentford but there seems to be complications in the deal after West Ham had three bids rejected for the player. Sky Sports have reported West Ham were willing to offer £9m up front with £3m in add-ons but the Championship side were demanding £6m in add-ons to meet their £15m valuation.

Difficulties in a move for the striker may have led Hammer boss Slaven Bilic to consider switching targets to Braithwaite instead who would be £5m cheaper in total compared to Hogan.
